Description

old, annual leafy and fruiting vegetables. The leaves are ready to cut after six to eight weeks and are prepared like spinach. The pretty, red, wild strawberry-like fruits are also edible, have a high seed content and a fruity, earthy aroma.

Growing tips

Avoid waterlogging. Occasional hoeing between the plants promotes the growth of the leaves. Leaves ready for harvest approx. 6 weeks after sowing (cut off), fruit from August. Older leaves no longer taste as good as younger ones. Fruits are somewhat bland and are intended more as edible decoration.
