Growing tips

This compact foxglove impresses with its striking, strawberry-sized flower clusters. Digitalis 'Summer King' is a natural cross between the yellow-flowering Digitalis grandiflora and the pink-flowering Digitalis purpurea. A vigorous and early-flowering variety that brightens up gardens and attracts nectar-loving bees to the garden. Perennial Flowering: mid-summer Height: approx. 60 - 70 cm Habitat: Sun or partial shade Germination: Easy Care: Easy Sowing: Sow from early summer to mid-winter at 18-20 °C in good sowing soil. Cover the seed lightly with vermiculite. Germination time is usually 15-30 days. If the seeds are sown early, the plants often flower in the same year. Planting out: When the seedlings are large enough, prick out and cultivate under cool conditions. Plant out at a distance of 60 cm in full sun or partial shade in ordinary garden soil. Caution: All parts of the plant are poisonous.
