Used as an indoor and ornamental plant. Annual. There are varieties with red, green, yellow or brown leaves.

Sow directly on the spot, cover with a thick layer of soil, press down and keep moist. Germination temperature: 18°C Germination time: 10 to 14 days. Not in full sun, away from the sun. Propagate by cuttings. To do this, cut off the shoot tips and place in a glass of water. Overwinter indoors. Do not plant deeper than under the 1st pair of leaves. Fertilize 1-2 times a week. Water well in summer, but avoid waterlogging. Wear gloves as some people are sensitive to the essential oils in the plant's leaves. Cut back old and bare shoots.
