Description
Centaurea jacea Flockenblumen gehören zur Familie der Korbblütler (Asteraceae). Es gibt ca. 500 Arten. Es sind ein-, zwei- oder oft mehrjährige Stauden oder Pflanzen, die zwischen 20-300 cm groß werden und Rhizome ausbilden. Sie blühen in weiß, gelb, rosa, pink, violett oder blau. Eine bekannte Flockenblume ist die Kornblume. Insektenfreundlich.

Growing tips
Germination after 14-21 days at 15-20°C. Direct sowing possible. Remove faded plants regularly. Fertilize 2 times a month. The soil should not be too dry. Flowers until the 1st frost. Rejuvenate by division after a few years. Some plants self-seed. Planting distances, sowing depth and location requirements depend on the species and variety.
