From the inflorescences and leaves of this plant can be prepared one of the most delicious herbal teas. Harvest them at the beginning of June during the main flowering period and hang them to dry in a dark, well-ventilated place. With a little fresh lemon juice, the tea tastes great hot or even chilled. The fresh aroma invigorates and soothes at the same time. In its countries of origin, Greece, Turkey and Syria, Greek Mountain Tea has a very long tradition both as a drink and as a remedy. It is said to have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, as well as being immune-boosting.
