Kajari is the most unusual honeydew melon there is. When ripe, the pale green skin is alternately emerald green and dark orange striped. Kajari has even more to offer: it ripens exceptionally early, as early as Minnesota Midget. The flesh is sweet and juicy, the fragrance nectar-like. It is a rare and historical variety from India, probably originated in the Punjab region.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sugar melons are particularly susceptible to fungal diseases. Spray horsetail manure as a preventative measure. Watch out for soil-borne fungi, so it is best to graft.
