Description

Pole gourd. Slightly green-flamed, orange-yellow fruits up to over 1 m long and 15-20 cm Ø, 8-20 kg. Deep orange, firm, very aromatic flesh with few seeds. Good shelf life. Long vegetation period (100-110 days). [Source: Reinsaat KG] Germination after 7-14 days at 18-22°C.

Growing tips

Pre-cultivation is recommended. Water and fertilize regularly. Prevent waterlogging, weeds and direct soil contact with the fruit. Protected from the wind. Can be sown directly on the compost heap. Harvest in dry weather for better storage. Fruits should not touch each other during storage, otherwise they may rot.
