Bear Paw is a rather small-sized (1-1.60 m) popcorn corn variety with good taste, exceptional appearance and good puffing properties. The cobs are white and resemble a bear paw when pollinated well. The cobs grow to an average length of about 15 cm. The plants are very healthy and stable. The variety is very early maturing for popcorn corn. (From Culinaris)
Non hybrid
Do not plant fewer than 10 maize plants in at least 3 rows, otherwise there will be insufficient pollination. Direct sowing is only recommended in warm regions. Temperature from at least 12°C, optimum is 20-25°C (8-14 days). Cover with fleece if necessary; preplanting is recommended in cooler regions. Only use well-ripened, hard and well-dried cobs for popcorn. (From Biogartenbedarf)
