Description

Spoonwort forms heart-shaped leaves that can be used very well as a salad. Winter hardy.

Growing tips

Sow from March to April and September to November. Sowing depth 0.5-1cm. Cultivate at a distance of 15-20cm. Germinates quite quickly. Always keep the seed and later the plant moist. Continuously cut the young leaves. Location: Sunny to shady. Undemanding, even in salty soils. Can be used as a winter plant in greenhouses without heating. Completely hardy.
