Description

This productive primocane variety will reward with crops from August to October and again the following June. After your first August-October harvest, leave some of the strongest canes uncut. These will provide another crop the following June, whilst the current year's canes will crop again in August-October. This vigorous raspberry is ideal for those with limited space, canes can even be grown in containers with no reduction in cropping potential. Each firm fruit weighs an average 5.4g. Height: 1.5m (59"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Non hybrid

Growing tips

The raspberry prefers to grow in a wind-protected, semi-shady to sunny spot in the garden. To ensure a good harvest in the first year, the root balls should be planted in the fall, but they can also be planted in the spring. Before planting, loosen the soil and mix in some compost, as raspberries prefer a loose, humus-rich soil. When planting, the buds should be covered with about 5 cm of soil and a distance of 40 - 50 cm should be maintained between the root balls. Water the root balls well immediately after planting. Depending on how tall your variety grows, you can also build a small scaffold to support the raspberries and make them easier to care for and harvest. Raspberries are shallow-rooted and grateful for a mulch cover.
