Description

Lemon balm is a perennial, bushy medicinal plant from the labiates family with a growth height of 50 cm to 1 m. It has a minty-citrus aroma and is suitable for the preparation of tea, spice mixtures or summer salads.

Growing tips

Lemon balm seeds should only be pressed and watered as they are light germinators. They also germinate very slowly. From the second year onwards, the perennial develops very quickly in spring. The plant loves full sun. Propagation is by seed and root runners. To prevent the lemon balm from spreading excessively, you can cut off these runners if necessary.
