Shape/appearance: small, round apple with a diameter of only 4-6 cm, very regular; beautifully streaked with pink. The outer color is reflected in the flesh, which is marbled with pink. When the apple is cut crosswise, it can be seen that the outer red streaks correspond well with the inner red color. Texture/firmness: firm and crisp, very juicy, fine-celled flesh structure, which is not tough but releases the juice quickly. Taste/aroma: sweet, sugar-sweet. The sweetest Redlove we have been able to select so far. There is some fruit acidity, but the juicy sweetness dominates! Unlike some Redlove varieties, this latest Redlove – which is less a red love than a red sweetheart – also has no dry finish. Growth/health: scab-resistant, not very susceptible to mildew, very healthy growth, but weak. Weak normal growth. Harvest/ripening/storage: Redlove Lollipop is ripe from the end of August, but remains crisp and fresh on the tree until almost the end of September. Final size of low-stem tree: Height: 2-2.5 m, crown diameter: 1.2-2 m
