Mit diesem Ganzjahres-Kohlbeet kannst du auch im Frühjahr und Herbst Gemüse ernten. Wenn man mehrere Kohlsorten in ein Beet pflanzt, kann dies gut gelingen, wenn man Kräuter gegen die lästige Kohlfliege dazwischen setzt (wundere dich also nicht über die Blitze im Beet).

Paas Lindtorfer Frühe: Bei der Aussaat ist die Sorte etwas wärmebedürftig, weshalb diese oft erst Ende Mai gesät wird. Die Sorte findet sich auch in der „Roten Liste der gefährdeten einheimischen Nutzpflanzen“ und ist Teil der Slow Food Arche des Geschmacks.

Blauhilde: Ertragreiche und früher sehr beliebte Stangenbohne mit blauvioletten, schmackhaften, dickfleischigen Hülsen. 

Neckargold: Mittelspäte, bewährte Spezialität mit zahlreichen ca. 25 cm langen fleischigen, fadenlosen, gelben Hülsen. Resistent gegen den Bohnenmosaik- virus (BCMV)

Feuerbohne: „Scarlet Emperor“ wurde 1906
als herrlich rotblühende, geschmackvolle Feuerbohne auf den Markt gebracht. 
Robuste Sorte, auch für raue und regenreiche Lagen geeignet.

Da Stangenbohnen bis zu 3m in die Höhe wachsen können, benötigen diese eine Rankhilfe, das kann wie hier im Plan der früher gepflanzte Mais oder aber auch eine Rankhilfe sein.

Paas Lindtorfer Frühe: This variety requires a bit of warmth for sowing, which is why it is often not sown until the end of May. The variety is also on the "Red List of endangered native crops" and is part of the Slow Food Ark of Taste.

Blauhilde: High-yielding and formerly very popular runner bean with blue-purple, tasty, thick-fleshed pods.

Neckargold: Medium-late, proven specialty with numerous fleshy, stringless, yellow pods approx. 25 cm long. Resistant to the bean mosaic virus (BCMV)

Fire bean: "Scarlet Emperor" was developed in 1906
as a wonderfully red-flowering, tasty scarlet runner bean.
Robust variety, also suitable for harsh and rainy locations.

As runner beans can grow up to 3 m in height, they need a climbing aid, which can be the corn planted earlier, as shown here, or a climbing aid.

Die Humuswerkstatt hat dir einen Pflanzplan für ein großes No Dig Hügelbeet zur Verfügung gestellt. Das ca. 70cm bis 100cm hohe Beet wird mit Holz und Pflanzenmaterial gefüllt und mit Kompost bedeckt und ist somit sehr nährstoffreich und hat eine erhöhte Wasserspeicherkapazität. In addition to four different tomato varieties such as 'Green Zebra' or the cocktail tomato 'Sunviva', numerous other plants grow in this greenhouse. You can plant bush beans or chilies between the tall vine tomatoes. They fill the free space perfectly. Beans also fix additional nitrogen in the soil, which benefits the hungry tomatoes.

Like us, not everyone has a canopy for their tomato plants in the garden. We have therefore been growing tomato varieties that are suitable for outdoor cultivation for several years and here is the planting plan for our tomato bed.

Kürbispflanzen haben einen recht hohen Nährstoffbedarf und wachsen meist sehr ausladend. Daher ist es wichtig, sie mit den richtigen Pflanzen zu kombinieren. Hierfür eignen sich Kulturen mit früheren Ausaaten wie z.B. Rettich, Kohlrabi und Sonnenblumen. So bekommen sie einen Wachstumsvorsprung. Wenn der Kürbis richtig loslegt zu Wachsen, sind sie bereits groß genug, um nicht ,unterzugehen‘. Zudem kannst du Kürbis gut mit Kapuzinerkresse und Stangenbohnen kombinieren, die in die Höhe ranken. Als Vor- und Nachkulturen eignen sich schwachzehrende Pflanzen am besten.

Pumpkin plants require a lot of nutrients and usually grow very sprawling. It is therefore important to combine them with the right plants. Crops that have been sown earlier, such as radishes, kohlrabi and sunflowers, are suitable for this. This gives them a head start on growth. When the pumpkin really starts to grow, they are already big enough not to 'go under'. You can also combine pumpkins with nasturtiums and runner beans, which grow upwards. Low-yielding plants are best suited as pre- and post-crops.

Ackerbohnen lassen sich gut mit bodenbedeckenden Kräutern kombinieren. Besonders gut eignet sich niedrig wachsende Kapuzinerkresse. Kapuzinerkresse ist nämlich eine wertvolle Pflanze für die Mischkultur, denn sie zieht die meisten Schädlinge magisch an. Daher schützt sie die Bohnen vor Blattläusen und Co. - das gleiche gilt für Bohnenkraut. Damit Möhren und Bohnen nicht direkt nebeneinander stehen, trennt sie eine Reihe einjähriges Bohnenkraut. Dieses Beet eignet sich besonders gut für Anfänger und füllt dein Beet über die Sommermonate mit einer ausgewogenen Mischkultur.

Field beans combine well with ground-covering herbs. Low-growing nasturtiums are particularly suitable. Nasturtium is a valuable plant for mixed cultivation because it magically attracts most pests. It therefore protects the beans from aphids and the like - the same applies to savory. So that carrots and beans are not right next to each other, separate them with a row of annual savory. This bed is particularly suitable for beginners and fills your bed with a balanced mixed crop over the summer months.

Das ist ein Gartenplan ganz nach Fruchtfolge, denn jedes Jahr werden die Beete um eins verschoben. Also wo Beet 1 war, kommt jetzt Beet 6 hin und so weiter. Damit werden die Schädlinge nicht von Jahr zu Jahr auf den selben Beeten ihr Lieblingsgemüse finden und man hat nun große Chancen auf schädlingsarmes Gemüse. Ich weiß die Vorkultur von dem 1. Beet ist nicht so ganz unter der Mischkultur erfolgt. Dennoch hat es bei mir gut geklappt. Auf Beet 1 sind vorwiegend Kreuzblütler, auf Beet 2 alles Fruchtgemüse (Nachtschattengewächse), auf Beet 3 alle Korbblütler und Gänsefußgewächse, auf Beet 4 Doldenblütler und Zwiebelgewächse, auf Beet 5 alle Nachtschattengewächse und auf Beet 6 alle Hülsenfrüchte. This is a garden plan based entirely on crop rotation, because every year the beds are moved by one. So where bed 1 was, bed 6 now goes, and so on. This means that pests won't find their favorite vegetables in the same beds from year to year and you now have a good chance of having vegetables that are low in pests. I know that the pre-cultivation of the 1st bed was not quite done under mixed cultivation. Nevertheless, it worked well for me. Bed 1 is mainly cruciferous plants, bed 2 is all fruiting vegetables (nightshades), bed 3 is all composite plants and goosefoot plants, bed 4 is umbellifers and onions, bed 5 is all nightshades and bed 6 is all legumes. If you have any questions, suggestions or criticism, please write them in the comments. I will answer every question and try to improve it as much as possible.

Als Vorkulturen eignen sich frühe Kohlrabisorten, Salat und Spinat. Gute Nachkulturen sind hier Wintererbsen, Feldsalat, Zwiebeln und Knoblauch. Diese Kulturen bleiben bis ins nächste Jahr z.T. bis in den Sommer hinein im Beet stehen.

Buschbohnen eignen sich gut für den Anbau im Hochbeet, da sie einen guten Ertrag auf kleinem Raum liefern und gut mit anderen Pflanzen kombiniert werden können. Aus meiner Erfahrung hat sich der Anbau im Hochbeet von Buschbohnen mit Gurken, Kohlrabi und Salat sehr bewährt. In unserem überdachten Hochbeet wachsen sie sehr gut und sind vor vielen Schädlingen geschützt.

Die Gurke kann an einem Rankgerüst hochranken und braucht so nicht viel Platz im Beet. Buschbohnen, Kohlrabi und Gurke unterstützen sich gegenseitig im Wachstum und nehmen sich keinen Platz weg. Als Vorkulturen kannst du Salat, Radieschen und Spinat pflanzen. Knoblauch, Zwiebeln und Feldsalat stehen als Nachkulturen im Beet. Die Gurkenpflanze solltest du am besten vorziehen, dann kannst du bereits ab Juli die ersten Gurken ernten. Die restlichen Gemüsepflanzen kannst du direkt ins Beet säen.

Bush beans are well suited to growing in raised beds as they produce a good yield in a small space and can be combined well with other plants. In my experience, growing bush beans in raised beds with cucumbers, kohlrabi and lettuce has proved very successful. They grow very well in our covered raised bed and are protected from many pests.

The cucumber can climb up a trellis and doesn't need much space in the bed. Bush beans, kohlrabi and cucumber support each other's growth and don't take up any space. You can plant lettuce, radishes and spinach as pre-crops. Garlic, onions and lamb's lettuce can be planted in the bed as secondary crops. The cucumber plant is best grown in advance so that you can harvest the first cucumbers as early as July. You can sow the remaining vegetable plants directly into the bed.
