Description

This mix is potato seeds and not seed potatoes! When growing potatoes from plants can create new varieties and the plants grown from seed are often more robust and healthy. In addition, home-grown seed potatoes can also be grown for many years without degenerating. In the first year, somewhat smaller tubers (seed potatoes) are usually formed, which are then planted out the next year and form plants with large potatoes. If there are already some large potatoes in the first year, they can be tasted. Our potato seeds are a colorful mixture of old varieties with yellow, red and purple tubers. Growing tips

Sow like tomatoes. Pre-culture in sowing soil indoors from March. Germinates at 20°C in approx. 10 days. In May, after the Ice Saints, harden off the approx. 15 cm plants and plant out in the greenhouse or outdoors. In the first year, small tubers form which are dug up and overwintered frost-free (the tubers survive mild winters in the ground). The next year, the tubers are planted like seed potatoes and large potatoes form. The tomato-like (poisonous) fruits can be used to produce seeds. (From MagicGardenSeeds.de)
