Description

Mayan Rose is a new variety from the strain of "Solanum phureja", known for a 1/3 shorter cooking time than potato varieties from the "Solanum tuberosum". Mayan Rose is a cross between Mayan Twilight and Mayan Gold. High resistance to scab. Red-yellow skin and deep golden flesh. Good for boiling, mashing and frying. Intense potato flavor, slightly sweet to nutty. (Source: Lubera.com)

Growing tips

Do not leave in the soil for too long, as the varieties will then quickly start to germinate again. Therefore only a short storage period. Beautiful purple-yellow flowers, forms many berries. Beware, the potato berries are poisonous. Cooking time reduced by 1/3 compared to 'normal' potatoes. Plant from April. Harvest from the end of July. (From Lubera.com)
