Old variety from France. Yellow, horn-shaped. Thin, smooth skin. Firm cooking. Less productive, but very delicate, nutty flavor. Maturity: early. 90 - 110 days of ripening. Good shelf life. The flesh of La Ratte potatoes is yellow and has an excellent aroma that increases when eaten cold.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Cultivation is not easy, the variety is susceptible to late blight, it requires fertile soil and a steady supply of water. Once the haulm has died back, it should be removed from the soil quickly. Further cultivation tips for the potato species.
