Grows bushy (barely climbing) with green, slightly marbled, elongated fruit and low pith. Light green to white flesh, depending on harvest time. Harvest begins about 6 weeks after planting. Early-growing and good yield. Open growth (min. 1 m²).
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Plants can be grown in advance, but do not have to be. They develop into strong young plants within two weeks of sowing. They can be harvested after a further 6 weeks. Germination temperature for cultivation: 18-20 °C. Likes warm, sheltered locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants can pollinate each other. Harvest regularly so that new fruits continue to form. Fertilize and water regularly. Observe crop rotation. Home-grown zucchini seeds are strongly discouraged because they can produce the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can cross-pollinate, making zucchinis bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
