Description

Die Aubergine ist ein mehrjähriger, buschiger Halbstrauch, der zu den Nachtschattengewächsen gehört und kälteempfindlich ist. Die Früchte sind reif, wenn sie vollständig gefärbt sind. Es gibt viele Sorten mit unterschiedlichen Farben (lila, gelb, rot), Formen (länglich, keulenförmig, rund, oval) und Größen (bis zu 1 kg).

Eggplants should be grown in nutrient-rich soil in a sunny, warm location. To prevent the plants from bending, you can tie them up. As with tomatoes, side shoots should be removed by breaking them off directly at the base. From time to time it is worthwhile to remove part of the fruit attachments so that the remaining fruits ripen better.
