Description

Also called "Zino". Proven, very high-yielding, late variety with uniformly dark orange-red colored, long, cylindrical, blunt autumn and winter carrots and strong foliage. Aromatic sweet flavor, high content of vitamins and minerals, especially carotene. Very good for storage, until March. Suitable for freezing.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Sow thinly, 0.5-1cm deep in rows 30cm apart, cover with soil and keep moist. Germination after 14-24 days at 10-20°C. Loves a sunny, airy location and humus-rich, deep, stone-free, sandy garden soil. Hoeing and weed control are important. Keep evenly moist to prevent bursting. Mixed cultivation with onions against carrot flies and/or cover with a cultivation net. Separation may be necessary. Do not fertilize with manure or sow on freshly fertilized soil. Keep free of weeds. Radishes can be sown in the rows when sowing as a marker, which also prevents later singling out.
