Description

Bear Paw is a rather small-sized (1-1.60 m) popcorn corn variety with good taste, exceptional appearance and good puffing properties. The cobs are white and resemble a bear paw when pollinated well. The cobs grow to an average length of about 15 cm. The plants are very healthy and stable. The variety is very early maturing for popcorn corn. (From Culinaris)

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Do not plant less than 10 corn plants in min. 3 rows, otherwise there will not be sufficient pollination. Direct sowing only recommended in warm regions. Temperature from at least 12°C, optimum is 20-25°C (8-14 days). If necessary, cover with fleece; in cooler regions, preplanting is recommended. For popcorn use only well matured, hard and well dried cobs. (From Biogartenbedarf)
