Zucchini is an annual cucurbit plant with bushy growth and large leaves on long stalks. The fruits of 1-2 plants are usually enough to cover their own needs.

Zucchinis grow very quickly. However, apart from a high water and nutrient requirements, they are quite undemanding. Lack of water or nutrients, as well as other stress factors, lead to the increased formation of male flowers that cannot form fruit. To form fruit, the female flowers must be fertilized. You should harvest the first fruits relatively small. In combination with regular harvesting, you will stimulate flower and fruit formation. Cool and wet weather sometimes leads to weak fruit formation, which is due to lack of pollination under these weather conditions. Plants are also susceptible to powdery mildew under these conditions. In cooler weather, plants preferentially form male flowers.
