Growing tips

Sunny to semi-shady position. Fertilize during new growth, flower formation and after harvesting. Mulching is recommended. After harvesting, remove the foliage down to the heart leaves - i.e. only cut off the outer leaf crown. Depending on the region, cover the soil with spruce branches in winter. (Source: asgarten.de)
