Description
This variety bears beautiful, medium-sized, dark red, smooth leaves with the fine traditional basil flavor. It is suitable for growing in pots or in beds. Plants grow to about 60 to 75 cm tall and produce beautiful lavender-pink flowers. Perennial if overwintered indoors and not cultivated as an annual.

Light germinator (20-25°C, germination period: 14-21 days). Red pigments are formed with greater intensity if the plants are in a sunny location. After flowering, the plants no longer form new leaves and can be harvested for longer by removing the flower heads. High water and nutrient requirements, top up with organic fertilizer.
