Description

Tasty decorative vegetable with fiery red stems and dark green blistered leaves. Suitable for summer and autumn cultivation. The stems can be boiled or steamed like asparagus, the leaves like spinach. Also a feast for the eyes as an ornamental plant in the flower bed. Height of growth about 50 cm.

Growing tips

Cultivation and care: Germination 15 - 25 days. Plant seeds approx. 2 - 3 cm deep, in rows 40 cm apart, cover the seeds with soil. Spread strong seedlings from April - early September in rows 25 cm apart. Loves humus-rich garden soil. The vegetable bed should be deep, loose and weed-free, raked smooth and finely crumbled beforehand. Keep constantly moist.
