Description

Gele Reuzen or yellow centner. High yielding. Very large, yellow, ribbed and storable fruit. Few pits and lots of flesh. Good taste, few calories and many vitamins. Preserving variety.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

From April in tray or cold frame and mid-late May in situ. Germination after 7-14 days at 18-22°C. Place 2 seeds in each planting hole, cover with soil at seed strength, press down and keep moist. The strongest plant is cultivated further. Do not damage roots when planting out. Fertilize and water regularly. Good for the compost pile. A board or other support under ripening fruits prevents rotting. For large fruits, leave only 2-3 fruits on the plant and destem the vines.
