'Rolein' is a red, platy round edible onion with white, red-edged flesh and milder in flavor than many yellow onions.

Growing tips

To avoid diseases, you should cultivate onions in a new location every year. Before the onset of cold weather, you should heap up the rows and cover them with brushwood to protect them from frost. You can harvest the onions as soon as the foliage bends over on its own and turns yellow. After harvesting, you should leave them on the bed for a few days to dry out or hang them up to dry.
