Description

The "Amore" cocktail tomato is a classic, Italian, red, crunchy panicle cocktail tomato with a sweet, spicy flavor. The fruits are relatively small at 1.2-2 cm, relatively firm for a cocktail tomato and hardly burst open. They ripen on 20 cm long, partly branched panicles and ripen well. High-yielding.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Germination period 10-14 days. Tomatoes require well-drained, humus-rich, nutrient-rich soil. Tomatoes are sensitive to waterlogging. Therefore, especially when growing in containers, make sure that the water can drain away easily. A sunny, warm location protected from wind and rain is best. A canopy is recommended for your tomato plants because they don't like it when water comes from above. Support the plants with sticks as a climbing aid. 1.8-2.5 m high in the open and the harvest starts relatively late from the end of July, beginning of August. In the greenhouse, the plants grow to a height of 2-3 m and bear abundantly from mid-July to the beginning of October. Stinginess is limited for a cocktail tomato. Over the years, the fruits of this variety have become smaller, but more burst-resistant and the plant more robust.
