Italian specialty with medium-sized, wine - red heads and partially greenish leaf tips. White, broad ribs that taste only slightly bitter. Biennial.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
At the end of October, cut back the green foliage to approx. 3 cm so that the red heads can form the following spring. Cover the plants with brushwood to speed up the process. Sow shallowly in rows 25 - 30 cm apart from July - August. Sow immediately at 15 cm final spacing, as radicchio is difficult to transplant. The soil should be slightly sandy.
