Precocious. High yielding. Upright growing with cylindrical, light-dark green fruits. Star-shaped grooves. Very decorative. Compact flesh with nutty flavor. Tender and tasty even when harvested late and the fruit is large. Harvest the fruit at a size of about 40-60 cm.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Pay attention to the sensitive roots when planting out! Harden off before planting out. Likes warm, sheltered locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants pollinate each other. Harvest regularly to ensure that new fruits continue to form. Fertilize and water regularly. Observe crop rotation. Home-grown zucchini seeds are strongly discouraged because they can produce the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can cross-pollinate, making zucchinis bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
