F1 hybrid. Bushy, compact & open growth. Require little space and continuously form dark green fruits. Ideal for pot culture. Plant at least 3 plants at the same time to achieve good pollination. Ripening time approx. 45-50 days. Not climbing. Harvest fruits young. Silver-like spotted leaves are not diseased, but an inherited trait. Germination after 1-2 weeks at min. 12°C.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Protect from snails when young. Harden off before planting out. Likes warm, sheltered locations. Sensitive to frost. Several plants pollinate each other. Harvest regularly to ensure that new fruits continue to form. Fertilize and water regularly. Observe crop rotation. Home-grown zucchini seeds are strongly discouraged because they can produce the toxic bitter substance cucurbitacin. Mixed cultivation with borage promotes pollination. Pumpkins and zucchinis of the same species can cross-pollinate, making zucchinis bitter and inedible or poisonous (due to so-called curcurbitacins).
