Growing tips

Beet thrives in any soil and is very undemanding, but protect it from drought and night frosts. Sow in rows. Germination temperature: 18-20°C. Germination period: 5-10 days. Separate after the 2nd leaf appears. When harvesting, twist off the leaves (use like chard) without damaging the bulb. Best time to sow for storage: May/June.
