Description

Moneta is a low-maintenance, shoot-resistant and high-yielding beetroot variety. It forms uniformly shaped, round, smooth, red beets. Its mild, slightly sweet flavor makes it best suited for raw consumption. Its high content of calcium, iron and beta-carotene makes it a very healthy vegetable in the kitchen.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Germination in 10-16 days at 12-20°C. A humus-rich, nutrient-rich, well-drained soil is ideal. Constant soil moisture should be ensured during the entire growth phase. The seed is monogerm, i.e. one plant grows from one seed and there is no need for pricking out. If the seeds are sown too closely together, they can be thinned out. Harvest after 3-4 months.
