Description

The dark red, round, large, very smooth beet comes from near Bernstein in Burgenland. The flesh is intensely red in color, tastes sweet and is aromatic. Robust even under dry conditions. The young leaves can be prepared fresh or cooked like chard.

Growing tips

Can be pre-grown in a greenhouse from March on rooting days for earlier harvesting. Germination temperature 10-20 °C, germination period 7-10 days. Loosen the soil, mulching recommended, if necessary, separate to 10 cm, water evenly.
