Description

The fodder beet 'Eckdorot' provides on the one hand rich yields and on the other hand a high feed value. You can use this proven variety excellently for small animal husbandry - for example for rabbits, sheep or goats - as a valuable feed source. The massive, cylindrical beets have a red skin, a white, juicy, not too firm flesh and are easy and clean to harvest.

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Germination in 2-3 weeks at 10-20°C. Avoid fertilizing with manure immediately beforehand. Cover the seed with soil at double seed thickness and press down well. If necessary, thin out later to up to 30 cm for uniform, solid beets.
