Description

F1 hybrid "Pinestripe" forms small spherical to teardrop-shaped, tasty fruits with very decorative purple stripe markings. Suitable for both edible and ornamental purposes. In vegetable beds, raised beds and in large tubs (min. ø 30cm). Compact, very sturdy and bears many fruits. Height of growth about 50-60 cm.

Growing tips

Germination from 18°C after 8-10 days, optimum 20-22°C. Only cover the seed very lightly when growing. 0.2 cm sowing depth. Sufficient light is important. As soon as leaflets are visible, prick out into small pots and continue to cultivate at approx. 16-20°C. Transplant to the open ground from mid-May, connection to a support frame/rod is recommended. Harden off beforehand and watch out for night frosts. Preferably sunny, warm and sheltered from the wind. Fruits ripen indoors. Support pollination by hand if necessary. Fertilize every 14 days as soon as fruit set is visible.
