Description

Forms juicy, tasty, purple spears from the end of March. Buds turn green when cooked. Inflorescences, stem bases, stalks and leaves edible. The stalk has the flavor of green asparagus. Therefore, broccoli was formerly known as asparagus cabbage.

Growing tips

Germination after 7-12 days at 15-18°C. Harvest time, depending on sowing date and pre-breeding: shortly before flowering from late fall to spring. Store in a cool, dark place in the vegetable drawer of the fridge for no longer than 3 days. Protect from heavy frost.
