Accent is a high-yielding traditional variety. The variety has a semi-erect growth and shiny, dark green, oval leaves. The 5-7 cm high, dense leaf rosettes are harvested whole and can be used without much cleaning. The variety is suitable for autumn harvest and wintering under foil.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
Sow thinly, spread out in rows 0.5-1 cm deep and 10-15 cm apart. Add soil on top and press down well so that the seeds have a firm hold on the soil. Water well and do not allow to dry out. Lamb's lettuce will still grow at temperatures between 5 and 10° C. Sub-zero temperatures are tolerated. However, there is no growth at low temperatures. Depending on the weather, late sowings may not be ready for harvest until spring. Plants can be pre-cultivated in areas that become available late (for example after tomatoes or cucumbers). To do this, 6-8 seeds are sown in small pots and planted out 4-6 weeks later with root balls at a distance of 10 × 10 cm. This ensures good growth until winter. However, directly sown plants root deeper and are more resistant to drought.
