Growing tips

Sow in a warm place (greenhouse/window sill). When the young plants have 4 leaves, prick out into pots. Keep the sowing area constantly warm and moist. Use sowing soil. Plant outdoors from mid-May (frost-free), harden off young plants beforehand. Side shoots must be broken off (thinning out). Water and fertilize regularly. Provide support immediately after planting out. Only plant in the same location after 3 years. Avoid rain and only water from below if possible. (From Quedlinburger).
