Growing tips

Protect from snails if necessary. Direct sowing often produces more beautiful tubers, but the harvest usually only takes place in the fall. Even moisture is important. Mound up the plants for better flavor and tender, snow-white tubers. Harvest when they are still compact. When they start to stretch, they become fibrous and hard. Cut off tubers just above the ground, shoots will grow back if the root remains in the ground. Take a cultivation break of 3-4 years.
