Description

The Kremser Perle is an old Austrian, early, very resistant and high-yielding tomato variety. It produces (flat) round to medium-sized (60-80g), bright red, sweet and juicy fruits. This bush tomato is characterized by its thin skin and soft flesh. Its growth is compact with a height of 0.8-1.5m. It is also very high-yielding, particularly easy to care for, insensitive to damp, cool weather and ideal for growing in pots. Blossom end rot tolerant (not late blight).

Non hybrid

Not frost resistant

Growing tips

Tomato "Kremser Perle" should not be sown too early, only about 6 weeks before planting. Ideally from March to April, when there is more sunshine, and a germination temperature of around 26°C is ideal. Germination time: approx. 10 days. Do not allow the young plants to dry out, they can be pricked out after 2-3 weeks. In order for them to root better, tomatoes should be planted a little deeper, the lowest leaves can even be removed. Must be supported due to its vigorous growth. As the Kremser Perle is very robust, it can be grown both in the greenhouse and in containers or in the open ground. The plant does not need to be thinned out. It can cope with many types of soil, but it should be loose, rich in humus and nutrients and not prone to waterlogging. Otherwise, it just needs plenty of sun.
