Description

The Window Box Yellow tomato is the perfect variety for the balcony, windowsill or hanging basket, patio or small garden. The bushy plants grow to a maximum height of 55 cm and do not need to be thinned out. Despite their compact growth, the plants produce a large number of small yellow cherry tomatoes, which are approx. 2.5 cm tall, weigh 30 g and ripen very early. A regular harvest guarantees the production of new fruits. These hang in clusters and are very tasty and sweet. Tolerant to late blight and blossom end rot. Old variety.

Growing tips

You can grow Window Box Yellow tomatoes indoors, in a greenhouse or outdoors. The optimum germination temperature is between 20 and 25°C and germination takes place after 8 - 14 days. You can speed up germination by soaking the seeds overnight in a damp cloth. You should only plant out the pre-grown plants after the last frost. Tomatoes need fresh, well-fertilized, well-drained soil that is kept moist (but not wet!). They should be planted in a sunny, sheltered spot with at least 6 hours of sunlight, preferably more. Ripen very early, up to 54 days.
