Description

Carrot Atomic Red has a bright red color, large 15-25 cm long, firm roots with an aromatic sweet taste, rich in vitamins and mineral salts. Thrive well in cooler weather. Turn an even deeper red when boiled, fried or baked. Very productive. Keep well, even throughout the winter, if wrapped in sand.

Growing tips

Ripening time: 65-70 days. Germination temperature 8-14°C. Germination period 1-3 weeks. Sow from February in a cold frame, can be sown outdoors until August. Sow very thinly to avoid thinning out later. It is best to mix the seed with a handful of sand and scatter in rows. Always keep well moist. Carrots like sandy, well-drained soil. Do not fertilize too much, otherwise the carrots will develop a lot of small hair roots.
