Description

Conical carrot with purple outer skin that plays with yellow, orange and purple tones inside. Slightly broader-shouldered and coarser, but with good homogeneity in shape. Rapid development (about 100 days). Strong, persistent aroma with good sweetness. Type: Flakkeese 2nd (AS).

Growing tips

Do not sow too early, as purple carrots are generally more susceptible to bolting. Carrots love loose soils that are not prone to silting. If the soil is heavy, it is better to grow them on ridges. As carrots take a long time to germinate, we recommend mixing the seeds with radishes. This way, the seed rows are marked and the carrots are automatically thinned out when the faster radishes are harvested. Carrots that are sown too densely must be thinned out.
