Description

Fast growing, crisp fresh and early dulling summer carrot. This hybrid variety of nantaisetype develops very uniform carrots 16-20 cm long. Popular for its very good taste for early carrot varieties. Little tendency to greenheading. If sown late, it can be stored well. It is also suitable for cold frames. Successor variety of 'Almaro'. (Kiepenkerl)

Growing tips

Cover seeds only thinly with soil. Seedlings grow very slowly at first. Germination in 7-14 days at 10-20°C. If carrots are too dense after sowing, it is worth spacing them out to 3-5 cm in order to obtain good quality carrots. Cover with a special crop protection net to prevent carrot fly infestation. Carrots love to grow next to onions. Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in the meantime.
