Victoria F1 has a medium green color, is tall and has fleshy leaf stalks. One of the best tasting celery varieties on the market, it is self-blanching, grows quickly and has a good stand. Celery loves moisture, but Victoria can be grown in places you thought were too dry. It grows early to mid-season and thrives in places where it is traditionally difficult.
F1 Hybrid
Not frost resistant
Sow the fine seeds thinly in pots or trays under glass at 18°C. Sow the seeds on the surface of moist sowing soil and cover them lightly with vermiculite. As soon as the seedlings are large enough, prick them out into trays 5 cm apart. When the seedlings are 6-7 cm tall, harden them off gradually before planting them out 25 cm apart in all directions as soon as the danger of frost has passed. Water well throughout the growing season. Celery requires a deep, nutrient-rich soil and must be watered abundantly throughout the growing season.
