This old variety originates from Asia, but has been cultivated in Europe and the western world for a very long time. Rose de Chine forms an elongated root that has a strong pink hue. It is a winter radish, so it should be grown from the beginning of June to the end of August for harvesting from October. The radishes can reach a length of up to 20 cm. They are mildly spicy and therefore very good to eat raw.
