Medium-early, non-furry variety with particularly large, bright red, round tubers with white, tender flesh. For year-round outdoor cultivation. Pleasant spicy taste. Suitable for fresh consumption, salad making and decoration. From Quedlinburger.
Non hybrid
Not frost resistant
Germination after 6-12 days at 8-15°C. Sow 0.5-1 cm deep. Press the seeds down, cover with soil and keep moist. Because of its size, spade to 5 cm from the end of April - beginning of August. Loves a sunny location and any humus-rich garden soil. Keep evenly moist. For early sowing, it is advisable to cover with foil. Drought, too deep sowing and heavy soil result in elongated tubers. Drought, heat and a short distance between plants lead to sprouting. In summer, prefer semi-shaded cultivation.
