Description

Recommended as edamame. The young pods are harvested continuously (seeds must still be light and soft) and blanched whole in boiling water. Drain and serve sprinkled with coarse salt. The ripe seeds can also be prepared like other French beans.

Growing tips

The performance of legumes depends on their symbiosis with nitrogen-fixing nodule bacteria. The rhizobia strain required by soy does not naturally occur in Europe. Seed inoculation is therefore recommended for high-yield soybean cultivation.
