New variant of the 'Mieze Schindler'. Also called 'Kitty Nova'. No longer requires a 2nd plant for fertilization, but self-pollinating. The vibrant red fruits are larger and firmer, less sensitive to pressure and higher yielding. Typical pussy taste. Resistant to powdery mildew and drought.
F1 Hybrid
Frostproof
Water the root ball well before planting. Fragaria ananassa 'Neue Mieze' is a child of the sun. As a shallow-rooted plant, it needs loose, humus-rich and nutrient-rich soil. Regular watering guarantees successful fruiting. Mulch the bed with straw to protect the soil from drying out and the berries from rotting! The white, single flower with a yellow center adorns the strong, dark green foliage from May to June. To ensure that the 'Neue Mieze' has enough space, we recommend a distance of 70 to 90 cm between the rows and 25 to 30 cm between the individual specimens. When planting, make sure that the heart bud protrudes from the soil. Weekly applications of berry fertilizer provide the plant with the most important nutrients. This way, nothing stands in the way of a rich harvest! Remove all outer leaves after harvesting. Mulching with straw is recommended.
