Description

The everbearing strawberry Albion spoils you with delicious fruit right through to November, even in cold, rain, heat and drought! Albion is resistant to Verticillium, Phytophthora and spider mites. The strong, resistant plants produce large, firm, dark red and very aromatic strawberries for months. A new favorite for the snack garden! The everbearing strawberry Albion (Fragaria x ananassa) bears delicious, long-lasting fruit of consistently high quality throughout the summer until the first frost. The excellent flavor tempts you to snack on them immediately after harvest, but they are also perfect as a cake topping, in desserts and fruit salads or with ice cream. The fruits are long and conical at the beginning of the harvest and later slightly wider and blunt. Originates from UC Davis in the USA.

Growing tips

The everbearing Albion strawberry prefers a sunny to semi-shady location with nutrient-rich soil. It grows to a height of approx. 40 cm. The perennial, hardy strawberry plants require little to medium care. As this strawberry variety is everbearing, it guarantees you a yield from June until frost. In row cultivation, a planting distance of 25-30 cm and a row spacing of 60 cm is recommended. When planting, make sure that the heart is not buried. The depth of the planting hole corresponds to the length of the roots.
